Representatives of the Chamber of Expert Organizations on March 14, 2018 took part in a meeting organized by the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Bank Group on the launch presentation of the study of the subnational Doing Business rating in 14 regions and cities of Astana and Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan. Presentation of the Subnational Doing Business Rating was held by specialists on the private sector of the World Bank Julienne Vilkin and Moussa Trao.
As part of a subnational study, a point analysis is carried out and micro-level data are provided for various areas of business activity, which make it possible to compare the business environment at the regional level.
The information on the implemented reforms on the World Bank indicators “Connecting to the power supply system”, “Obtaining a construction permit”, “Opening enterprises” and “Registration of property” were made by the heads of the structural divisions of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During presentation of the project, the heads of structural subdivisions of the central state bodies were asked a number of questions from entrepreneurs, affecting various spheres of their activity, and suggestions for improvement of business climate and reducing administrative barriers are given.
